JP Morgan was instrumental in transforming the US economy from an agricultural based economy to an industrial economy the likes of which the world had never experienced. His business dealings were felt throughout every major industry and can still be seen in the US economy today. His gentleman’s approach to banking, and his willingness for banks to have skin in the game allowed for the US to quickly turn into the financial juggernaut it is today.

Although Steve Jobs has passed away he will be the epitome of a great business leader. He is a leader in terms of design, in terms of innovation and also when it comes to making a comeback no one did it better than Steve. He was fired from a company that he had made and then came back after one year stronger than ever.

John D. Rockefeller
Rockefeller was one of the richest men in the world, and to those who read the muckraking articles, he seemed like a monster. But he gave away most of his fortune in ways carefully designed to do the most good. As a child he learned to share his income with the church and charity, and he continued to do this all his life. With his son, John D. Rockefeller, Jr., he established many institutions to benefit science, medicine, education, and the arts. On a personal level, he delighted in handing out dimes to children he met.

Indra Nooyi
Indra Nooyi, another of Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women, has not only led her company to record financial results but is making strides to move PepsiCo in a healthier direction, leading the courageous charge to shed traditional fast food properties and to replace them with initiatives to supply healthier foods. She is deeply caring and committed as a senior executive. She is a fun-loving executive as well—she played lead guitar for an all-woman rock band in college, loved to play cricket, and is known to sing karaoke and perform at corporate gatherings to this day. Yes, I have been known to relate to her fun-loving spirit as a senior executive as well.
